Poland develops a new visa regime with Ukraine

The ambassador of Poland in Ukraine JAtsek Kljuchkovski considers, that after the introduction of its country into the Schengen zone the separate agreement between Kiev and Warsaw about a visa regime will be entered into. He has told about it in interview unian.

"Ukraine has signed the contract on visa regime simplification with Eurocommission. Therefore Poland will join the present contract after occurrence in the Schengen zone. It involves that any more there will be no valid our bilateral agreement - it will need to be inspected in any case", - has declared Kljuchkovski.

"We are ready and we will work over that was, except the contract Ukraine-EU about visa regime simplification also the separate agreement between Ukraine and Poland about a visa regime. But it will enough concern a small amount of people", - the diplomat has noted.

Poland plans to join the Schengen zone in January, 2008. According to JAtseka Kljuchkovsky, in the autumn the Polish and Ukrainian party should sit down for a negotiating table and to sign the new cooperation agreement on border, considering, that Poland will be in the Schengen zone.

The head of diplomatic representatives has not excluded, that according to the new agreement of the visa to Ukrainians can remain free. "We will look... I do not see here any obstacles, but I notice, that speech does not go about Schengen visas", - he has told.

JAtsek Kljuchkovski does not exclude, that for the period of carrying out of a final part of the European championship on football of 2012 the visa-free regime between the European Union and Ukraine will be established.

"As visa questions in 5 years will be solved, I cannot tell, but is convinced, that all will be as it should be. For example, during Euro-2012 we can agree with Eurocommission and establish in general a visa-free regime for 2-3 weeks. It will not be a problem", - has told Kljuchkovski.

He also has noted necessity to build new check points on border as now it is not enough of them. "We speak about building of 10 new check points during the following of 5 years", - the ambassador has added.
