Beechen woods of Carpathians - in UNESCO lists The committee of the world heritage of UNESCO has entered beechen woods of Carpathians in the list the world heritage. Session has taken place in the New Zealand city of Christchurch, informs RIA Novosti news agency. As they say in the arrived press release of UNESCO, in the List two objects of the natural heritage, one object of the mixed type and four monuments of a cultural heritage are brought. It is national park of wild nature Tejde (Spain) and virgin beechen woods in Carpathians (Slovakia, Ukraine). The committee also has switched on in the List ekosistemu and relic cultural landscape Lope-Okanda (Gabon) as object mixed - natural and cultural - type. From cultural heritage monuments now in the List appear a cultural and botanical landscape of Rihtersfeldsky reserve in Southern Africa, Tvifelfontejn in Namibia, diaolou both villages Kajpinga in China and archaeological monument Samarra (Iraq) which also has been switched on in the heritage List under the threat. The committee has decided to expand also borders of object of a natural heritage of Jungfrau-Alech-Bichhorn (Switzerland). Beechen woods in Carpathians, located in territory of two countries - Slovakia and Ukraviny, represents a chain of ten separate reserves stretched from Rahovsky mountains and the Montenegro file in Ukraine, passing in the west in the Half-Oninsky ridge, up to mountains Bukovske Vrhi and Vigorlat in Slovakia. "All ten reserves are the perfect sample of the virgin woods representing difficult ekosistemy a moderate climatic belts. Here the conditions were saved, allowing to carry out the fullest researches of ecological structures and processes of growth of the European beech in various environments. Beechen woods of Carpathians are invaluable genetic storehouse of a beech and other kinds of wildlife existing with it in the neighbourhood and depending from caused it ekosistem", marks UNESCO. These woods also testify to processes of restoration and development terrestrial ekosistem and the settlements which have begun since the moment of end of last glacial age, and proceeding today. As to ekosistemy and relic cultural landscape Lope-Okanda in Gabon, located between the dense and well saved damp tropical wood and relic savanna in its territory the big variety as biological kinds was saved, including the large mammals who are on the verge of disappearance, and inhabitancies. "In reserve territory traces of the tribes replacing each other which has left after numerous and rather well saved traces of dwelling at tops of hills, in caves and shelters were saved.
